What an amazing weekend of Roller Derby! Like many other unfortunate members of the Roller Derby nation I was unable to attend the event in Philadelphia this last weekend. I instead tuned in to Derby News Network and watched the live footage via the internet. A huge thanks goes out to DNN for making this possible, minus a few technical difficulties the first day due to the huge amount of people logging in to watch the action the coverage was flawless and much appreciated by those who could not be there to see it live. I can not wait until the day our sport is televised, until then the underground derby army marches on thanks to the help of DNN and others.
The action began on Friday and most of the outcomes were no surprise as the higher ranked seeds coming into the tournament took on the lower ranked seeds. I think the most exciting bout of the day was the Boston Massacre took on Madison's Dairyland Dolls.
